Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP)

The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) has nine streams OINP is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that offers various immigration pathways for foreign nationals to become Canadian permanent residents.

1. Ontario Human Capital:

This stream is for those who  have the skills and experience that Ontario employers need.  Before you can apply to these streams, you must have received a notification of interest from the OINP and have an up-to-date profile with your most current work experience, language tests and education in the federal government’s Express Entry system.

 The Human Capital streams prioritize skills, abilities, or experience that indicate a foreign national can easily integrate into Ontario’s labor market. Candidates with work or educational experience in Ontario, proficiency in both English and French, or competitive Express Entry profiles may find success through these streams, which include:


2. Phd or Masters degree holders stream

Ontario Masters and Ontario PhD Graduates is a stream under Ontario Human Capital that targets foreign nationals who have recently completed a PhD at an eligible educational institution in Ontario.

  • Masters graduate stream

  • Phd graduate Stream

3. Employer Job Offer Stream

This category provides immigration options for applicants who have a valid job offer from an Ontario employer. Both the employer and the job itself must meet certain conditions to be considered valid, and the applicant must meet specific eligibility requirements depending on the stream they wish to apply through. Streams under this category include:

  • Foreign Worker

  • International Student with a Job Offer

  • In-Demand Skills

4. Ontario Entrepreneur Stream

If you’re a visionary entrepreneur with an innovative business concept Ontario’s Entrepreneur Stream is designed for you.  Through this program, entrepreneurs with a proven track record of success can launch new business projects in Ontario. If these projects are successful, the applicants involved will be nominated for Canadian permanent residence.
